(AP) - Connecticut officials say two FairfieldUniversity students have probable cases of swine flu, bringing thetotal suspected cases in Connecticut to five.
If confirmed, the cases would be noteworthy because neithercollege student has traveled to Mexico or elsewhere in which swineflu has been confirmed.
Gov. M. Jodi Rell and state health officials say samples fromthe two students have been sent to the federal Centers for DiseaseControl.
Test results are expected Thursday from the CDC on suspectedcases in adults from Southbury and Stratford, and in the next twodays for a case involving a Middlefield child. All three returnedrecently from Mexico.
Swine flu has been blamed for 168 deaths in Mexico and one inthe United States.
