Dealers at the Stamford Antiques Center lost a significant amount of profits after a huge warehouse fire in April and now there are talks of a lawsuit.
Fire officials believe a faulty sprinkler system caused the fire to spread from inside Haller Piano Shop to other areas of the Stamford Antiques Center. Booth owners say Antares Investment Partners of Greenwich owner of the property, knew about the sprinkler problem and did nothing to fix it.
Now many dealers are banning together in two lawsuits, one against Antares Investment Partners and the other, Haller Piano Shop. In the meantime, the Stamford Antiques Center continues to rebuild.
