A local food pantry is getting a generous boost from some soon-to-be high school freshmen.

The Monroe Food Pantry says it has seen a 10% increase in new families since the pandemic hit. So some local kids came up with a way to help.
Scratch Summer Camp is a beginner coding camp for future programmers.

Bhuvan Hospet, Anish Sharma and Ben Londono are teaching the online class every week this month. They say they are donating all the money from the camp to the Monroe Food Pantry

The boys have already raised over $700 for the food pantry and hope to raise more. The camp costs $25 a week.
