The DOT says it intends to close the Devon Bridge for repair work this weekend even if it snows.

The bridge, which connects Milford and Stratford along Route 1, will be closed Friday at 5 p.m. and is scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. Monday. The DOT says it will be making mechanical and electrical repairs, as well as doing some minor resurfacing of the roadway.

For months, businesses on both sides of the bridge have been worrying about the closures. The manager of the Harborside restaurant says she's concerned, especially since she has a lot of reservations this weekend as couples get a jump on Valentine's Day.
