A dangerous tractor-trailer crash along I-95 in Norwalk shut down the interstate Wednesday as firefighters and first responders worked to pull the driver to safety.
State troopers shut down I-95 southbound between exits 15 and 14 for several hours as firefighters put out flames and pulled the driver out of the cab.
Officials say the driver was conscious and talking when they put him in an ambulance, but his current condition is unknown.
Investigators called state workers from the state's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to clean up the 55-gallon drums of olives and diesel fuel that spilled from the food services truck on to the interstate.
State troopers say they're still investigating the cause of the crash.
