A judge will hold a hearing Friday after a lawyer for the woman charged with tampering with evidence in the case of a missing New Canaan mother requested she be able to travel over state lines through the July Fourth weekend, according to court documents.
Lawyer Andrew Bowman, who represents Michelle Troconis, filed a motion to amend conditions of release on Tuesday.
According to the court documents, Troconis wishes to travel out of the state from June 30 to July 17, to stay with "a responsible party completely unconnected with the case and who has known the defendant since she was 15 years old when she lived with her family for one year."
The documents did not reveal the identity of the person Troconis is requesting to stay with or where they live.
The court documents also state that Troconis further requested the court to enter an order prohibiting Fotis Dulos or his attorneys, agents or representatives from having any contact in any way with her.
The documents also appeared to express disapproval towards a motion and public statements made by Fotis Dulos' attorney Norm Pattis.
"Mr. Dulos' attorney’s public statements and his most recent motion have been filed and made solely to serve the purpose and interests of Mr. Dulos at the expense of Michelle Troconis."
Jennifer Dulos has been missing for a month and her estranged husband and his girlfriend have been charged with tampering with evidence in the case and hindering the prosecution.
Pattis claims he is exploring the theory that Jennifer committed suicide and staged a murder as a method of revenge on her ex-husband because the two were in a custody battle for their five children.
The hearing is scheduled to take place at the Stamford courthouse Friday morning.
Meanwhile, new filing in the Dulos custody case involve Fotis' legal team requesting a judge dismiss Jennifer’s mother’s request for custody of their children claiming the court lacks jurisdiction.
At a court appearance Wednesday, the judge announced she would issue a decision on Gloria Farber, Jennifer's mother's motion soon.
