Truck driver charged in Milford Metro-North crash
The driver of a dump truck involved in Wednesday?s crash with a Metro-North train has been charged with reckless endangerment.State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal sent an inspector to the Milford site to determine if a court-ordered violation triggered the crash that hospitalized six people. Under the court order, Associated Carting could only clean up the site and haul away debris. The dump truck involved in the crash was empty when it left the site. It was determined that the order was not violated and the crash may have been caused solely by driver error. Blumenthal says the company may be off the hook in regards to the crash, but he says the inspections will continue until the site is completely cleaned up. Related information:
