Rumors of a student in Trumbull with a fake gun led to a police investigation.

Police say the investigation found that the student brought a Nerf gun to school and was showing another student.

Officials say at no point was there a safety risk related to this incident and proper precautions were taken. Parents were also notified about the incident.
