A Trumbull teen?s training and aim in the 6th World University Archery Championships in Slovakia led to her taking home gold.
Brittany Lorenti?s, 19, win this month was about 10 years in the making, but the road to success was paved with problems. Lorenti says her best bow broke then she became sick ? so sick that she was unaware she had won the competition and was ready for her next shot. Despite the setbacks and the superstition, Lorenti came out on top in a sport that not many teens compete in.
The Lorenti family?s archery quest isn?t over yet. Allison is competing to get on the world team, which is going to Mexico.
