Bridgeport police are asking for the public's help in identifying a gunman who shot a man repeatedly in a park as children played just a few feet away.
The shooting happened on Granfield Avenue on June 26.
Surveillance video shows a man in shorts and a light-colored T-shirt walking up to the victim and then firing at close range.
Bridgeport Police Chief A.J. Perez says it was very disturbing to know the shooting was captured on camera.
"It was bad enough that an individual got shot, but there were children in that whole area, children that could have gotten shot," he says. "It's totally unacceptable."
Investigators say the victim was rushed to the hospital with injuries considering not to be life-threatening.
Police are asking anyone who can help them identify the shooter to call them.
