Hundreds in Westport laced up their shoes Sunday and walked to help find a cure for the deadly Lou Gehrig's Disease, or ALS.
The Walk To Defeat ALS was held at Sherwood Island State Park.
The walk has been held for five years.
Organizers say the thousands of buckets of ice water dumped this summer helped increase the number of teams for this walk by 40 percent.
