West Haven woman loses daughter, granddaughter in double-murder
A West Haven woman who lost her daughter and granddaughter in a double-murder last week says she is still after reeling both victims were found in Waterbury.
Corrinna Martin's daughter, 29-year-old Nequea Brodie and Brodie's daughter, 9-year-old My'Jaeana Richardson, were found dead in their apartment.
Police arrested 28-year-old Anthony Rutherford, Brodie's boyfriend, and charged him with murder.
Martin's other daughter, 20-year-old Alyssiah Wiley, was murdered in 2013 after the sophomore at Eastern Connecticut State University was last seen at her dormitory. Wiley's body was later found dismembered near the Bridgeport-Trumbull border.
Police say that in Wiley's case, it was also her boyfriend who committed the murder, though two juries have deadlocked.
