Students in Wilton said goodbye to summer and hello to a new school year.
Wilton High School welcomed more than 1,300 students Monday. For 300 of them, it marked the first day of high school, making them part of the school's largest classes yet.
Students said they were looking forward to new courses and to meeting their new teachers. School officials say they prepared for weeks just for the first day.
Principal Bob O'Donnell says the focus this year will be on how to improve teacher evaluation plans. For the second year, they will also be pairing every student up with a faculty advisor.
Last year, 98 percent of the senior class walked the stage at graduation. They hope to make the number 100 percent this year.
