Voters in Wilton are nearing a vote on whether to end a prohibition-era ordinance that outlaws liquor stores.
Package stores have been banned in Wilton since 1934 and some believe that should be changed.
"There are plenty of people who like alcohol in Wilton," says William Middeleer, a local resident. "I don't see why there shouldn't be a store there."
The Board of Selectmen has not taken a stance on the issue, saying they want voters to have the final word.
