(03/03/06) NEW CANAAN ? Spring is still a few weeks off, but many local car repair shops are already seeing green after Thursday?s blast of snow.
The latest round of winter weather created some tough driving conditions on Connecticut?s roads. As a result, the number of accidents spiked as motorists attempted to navigate through some icy conditions. Repair shops throughout Connecticut will now be reaping the benefits as residents shell out money to have their cars fixed.
Owners of one shop estimate they?ll rake in $35,000 from Thursday?s storm. Auto shop employees say they?ve seen everything from totaled cars to minor bumper dents as a result of the weather.
