A woman accused of helping her boyfriend plan the murders of his parents and cover up their deaths learned her fate Wednesday.
Jennifer Valiante received a sentence of eight years in prison for hindering prosecution.
Valiante previously reached a plea deal with the prosecution.
Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin, of Easton, were the parents of Valiante's boyfriend.  They were found shot to death and dumped on a property in Weston three months after their disappearance in August 2015.
Police say her boyfriend, Kyle Navin, was a drug addict who was about to be cut off financially.
Court documents list text messages between Valiante and Navin showing his plans to kill them.
Police also found blood in the Bridgeport home the two shared, and say Valiante helped clean up and hide the murders.
Family members of Navin were at the sentencing, but did not address the court.
Navin took a plea deal during his trial and is currently serving a 55-year sentence in prison.
Valiante's sentence includes time served. She has been in custody since October 2015.
Once out, she will be on probation. If she violates probation, she will have to serve another eight years in prison.
