A Bridgeport woman injured in a house fire and explosion says she's lucky to be alive following the terrifying ordeal.
A fire Sunday afternoon gutted a multifamily home. Friends and family tell News 12 Connecticut the other victim is fighting for his life.
The injured woman tells News 12 she suffered from smoke inhalation. Friends and family say the man who was critically injured had an oxygen tank, which they believe exploded.
Jeanna Migliore, 23, says she saw glass and debris flying across the street as a result of the explosion.
Migliore says she's been in a house fire in the past but had never seen anything like this.
"A lot of people don't have anything right now. Because of this. It's super sad," she says.
Witnesses says they could feel the explosion from down the street.
Families are setting up funds for those who have been displaced.
