Woodbridge town officials held a public hearing tonight to determine whether they should allow a gun shop to open up in the Selden Plaza Shopping Center on Selden Road.
Dozens of opponents of the gun shop gathered in protest at the public hearing and many spoke out, saying they fear a rise in crime. One of the would-be owners, a retired police officer, refutes that fear, saying that his store would be safe and secure.
The shop, if approved, would be located near a bowling alley, a bar and a teen center.
