A man who fell 40 feet from a tree he was working on in Fairfield is recovering in the hospital today.
Police say the man works for Bert's Tree Service and was trimming a tree at a home on Rock Major Road.
They say the climbing spikes on his shoes came undone, and he slipped.
Police say he was conscious after the fall.
