Two major COVID-19 vaccination sites are slated to open in Shelton, officials say.
The Griffin Health building on Progress Drive and the Hartford HealthCare building on Research Drive will both serve as the vaccination sites.
Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti says the sites should be up and running by Monday and will be able to vaccinate 1,200 people a day.
Currently only residents 75 years and older are eligible to receive the vaccine during Phase 1b.
Gov. Ned Lamont estimates the wait to get vaccinated could take a couple of weeks.
Those interested in signing up for a vaccine can do so through their healthcare provider, online, or over the phone.
