A Stamford pet store adopted two dozen birds found in the home of a deceased woman Friday.
Police say they found the woman dead on arrival at her Heywood Heights condominium in Stamford.
The birds are expected to be OK, officials say.
The store will foster them until it finds adoptive homes for the mix of parrots, parakeets and other birds.
Stamford police invite anyone seeking to adopt the birds to contact the department.
