Tyrone Robertson, of Norwalk, and Marcus Burnes, of Bridgeport, both 25, were sent to New York City to face murder charges, after waiving their extradition hearing while in court Thursday.
The two were arrested by Stamford police but are wanted by New York City police for the murder.
Officers say the men have a long record of drug and assault charges and were not surprised when New York City detectives said they wanted them for a September murder.
Robertson and Burnes' lawyers say their clients deny involvement in the killing, but they say there was no reason to fight extradition since it would only delay the process.
Police say they are glad the two men are off the street.
