Two women are accused of stealing bottles of alcohol from Stew Leonard's Liquor Store and spraying an employee in the face with mace.  

The incident happened on Wednesday around 6:44 p.m.

Norwalk police say the two women entered the store and began to place multiple bottles in a shopping cart before leaving without paying.

Police say an employee followed the women into the parking lot as they were loading the alcohol into their car and attempted to stop them, but one of the suspects sprayed mace in the employee's face.

Police say they believe that there may have been a third suspect, a man, with them.

Despite efforts to block the vehicle in, the suspects left in a black-colored Nissan.
