The New Haven St. Patrick's Day Parade has been canceled this year due to COVID-19 and the ongoing pandemic, officials announced.
The Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee made the announcement on the parade's website.
The committee released a statement saying in part, "In the best interests of the community, we have decided that our next parade will take place on March 13, 2022!"
The news comes a day after the city of Stamford announced they are canceling their annual St. Patrick's Day Parade as well.
