People who live near a restaurant in Bridgeport say it has gotten out of hand with loud parties weekend nights.

"The music is excessively loud, past 1 a.m., they start at 5 p.m., sometimes they start at 8 a.m.," said Richard Brunetto, who lives across the street.

Raphael says the Sunday night parties at Don Raphael, in Bridgeport, are becoming way too much.

"We have kids around the neighborhood and it's very difficult because the kids are trying to sleep and they have school the next day, and that goes on for hours," he said.

The restaurant's website says it serves up authentic Brazilian and Portuguese cuisine, but there is no mention of parties.

Video from a viewer shows how loud it can get.

One resident, who did not want to be identified, said they feel vibrations every week.

Gerson Chiluisa says the restaurant has a right.

"It does not bother me because people are having a good time, that's what life's about. You can't take your money with you," said Chiluisa.

The manager at Don Raphael says they have the right permits to be throwing these parties. Bridgeport police says they are aware of the situation and will be talking with the owner.
