Upper Crust Bakery and Café had its grand opening on 1st Street in East Norwalk Friday.

UCBC has a variety of bagels and gourmet spreads totaling over 200 types of customized bagels.

Owner Charlie Sahlia was joined by Mayor Harry Rilling to unveil UCBC's newest location.

"Whenever a business opens up in Norwalk it's always a good thing, it helps our economy, especially a local or a small business. They help our economy, they hire our residents, they hire out people. They provide a service that people need, especially right here in this area, in East Norwalk. This is a perfect location for them," said Rilling.

UCBC also has locations in Darien and New Canaan that are open every day, except Monday.
