Connecticut state police are teaming up with the Alzheimer's Association to help bring patients with cognitive issues back home in case they wander off.
They've launched the "Bring Me Back Home" registry, where families can enter information and photos of loved ones with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
It also lets families enter other information about hobbies, former addresses and employers to give law enforcement clues to where a person may have gone.
Officials say about 60% of Alzheimer's patients wander off at times and locating them quickly is crucial.
Police say if someone wanders or goes missing to call 911 immediately and share that they are registered at the Bring Me Back Home program.
