Hendricks Bar and Grill in Stratford invited the public on Sunday to drop off unwrapped toys to benefit the First Haitian Evangelical Church – they happen to be neighbors.

"For months I've been trying to think of a way to help them out. All of a sudden the other day, I was like we can do a toy drive,” said Lisa German, of Hendricks Bar and Grill. “I reached out to them, and they were more than welcoming to it.”

She said toys can be dropped off through Thursday at Hendricks on Stratford Avenue.

“I'm excited to help all the kids who maybe might not have a great holiday," said German.
