Connecticut unveiled its new tourism campaign Wednesday.

The state's new slogan is "Make it Here," which officials already use to target businesses.

The ads will run in the New York City and Boston markets, on billboards and JetBlue flights.

State tourism officials said that Connecticut has seen an increased spike in national media attention, which has led to more visitors.

"Last year, we had all-time highs on visitation, on lodging revenue, and also hits on CTVisit," says Anthony Anthony, Connecticut's chief marketing officer.

Speaking at the Connecticut tourism conference Wednesday, leaders said while the state only spends $4.5 million on tourism annually, it gets back $17 billion in economic impact
