Stratford Police close Short Beach Monday due to unruly youths
Shortly before 5 p.m., they received a complaint of a large number of youths drinking and behaving badly.

Stratford police say they closed Short Beach Monday in order to maintain peace and safety for all.
Shortly before 5 p.m., they received a complaint of a large number of youths drinking and behaving badly.
Authorities say when they arrived there were several hundred youth fighting and acting unruly.
They say the beach was cleared out with the assistance from other agencies.
The beach is open today.
