Tragedy struck Tuesday as a man lost his life following a rollover crash near the Exit 89 ramp off Route 5 in Hartford just after 2 p.m.
According to police reports, the driver was traveling south down the ramp when he veered into the right lane, crossing the right shoulder, and eventually traveling off-road into the grass before rolling over.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transported the driver to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
As of now, there is no word on what caused the crash. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
