City of Norwalk leaders and volunteers braved Sunday's hot temperatures to improve pedestrian safety at North Main Street and Ann Street.
Officials said both pedestrians and motorists will benefit from the enhancements.
“[It] will allow pedestrians to be more visible,” said Garrett Bolella. “It’s also going to make the intersection feel narrower and, as we know, it changes drivers’ behavior,” said Garrett Bolella, assistant director of City of Norwalk Transportation, Mobility and Parking.
Sunday’s painting project was 15-months in the making. The city hopes to implement similar projects in the future.
