Fairfield police have released new information and surveillance photos of a 16-year-old girl who has been missing since July 2.

Authorities say Jomana Ali ran away from home on Elm Street, turned off location services on her phone and has not been active on social media.

Witnesses told police that Ali approached them at the Fairfield I-95 Southbound rest area, stated that she wanted to run away from home and was seeking a ride.

Surveillance footage showed the girl willingly enter a black Saturn Ion with Massachusetts license plates.

Police say she was dropped off in Bellmawr, New Jersey on July 3. Her last known location was around Ace Auto Repair.

Her cell phone connected to multiple cell tower locations on July 3, in New York and New Jersey for a brief time before being turned off. It was later found that Jomana’s cell phone had been left in the bed of a pickup truck while parked in the rest area in Fairfield on July 2. The phone was located by Fairfield Police Detectives, and contact was made with the operator of the truck, who found the phone in the bed of their truck.

Ali’s family says they are worried for her mental health. They say she has daily medications, which she left at home.

“I don't have any words to say… I just miss my daughter. It's been ten days now. We don't know where she went, what she's doing,” said her mother.

She is believed to be in the area of Bellmawr, New Jersey or the surrounding Philadelphia area and is considered an endangered juvenile.

Anyone with information on Jomana's whereabouts is asked to contact the Fairfield Police Department at 203-254-4800 or by dialing 911.
