A small fire broke out at St. Vincent's Medical Center over the weekend, but was quickly extinguished by the automatic sprinkler system.

According to Bridgeport firefighters, operating room staff discovered the fire, which was confined to an unoccupied area of the hospital.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
