Is your Christmas tree shedding pesky pine needles?

If you're a Norwalk resident, you're in luck! The city has announced its Christmas tree collection schedule.

Here are the important dates to remember:

• If your recycling is picked up on Mondays and Tuesdays, your tree will be collected during the week of Jan. 6.

• If your recycling is picked up on Wednesdays, your tree will be collected during the week of Jan. 13.

• If your recycling is picked up on Thursdays and Fridays, your tree will be collected during the week of Jan. 22.

Important Rules to Remember:

• Place your tree curbside by 6 a.m. on the Monday of your collection week.

• Remove all holiday decorations, as they will not be recycled.

• Holiday wreaths will not be collected due to the metal wire inside
