A popular national chicken chain is coming to the area.

Raising Canes is opening this morning at 1455 Boston Post Rd. in Milford.

People have already been camping out waiting for the place to open.

The national chain restaurant, founded in Louisiana in 1996, specializes in chicken fingers. However, it also offers chicken sandwiches and sides like Texas toast and coleslaw.

The Milford Chamber says the first 100 dine-in customers to purchase any combo meal will receive a free hat and box combo card for their next visit.

You can also register for a chance to become one of the 20 people to win free Raising Canes for a year!

This will be the state's fourth location.

Raising Canes also has locations in Enfield, Wethersfield, and Simsbury.

There is a new location coming in Manchester.
