An argument inside a liquor store in Claremont turned into a violent robbery, and police are searching for the woman they say is responsible.

Authorities say it unfolded inside 1329 Webster Ave. just before 11 p.m. on March 20.

The woman approached a 36-year-old woman and started an argument, which quickly turned physical.

She punched the victim in the head and body before forcibly snatching her cell phone from her hand, damaging the approximately $1,100 device, according to police.

The woman ran from the scene with the stolen phone and was last seen wearing all black with a red hat.

Authorities say the victim suffered minor injuries and was not hospitalized.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
