High school senior honors fallen firefighters through Eagle Scout project

A local student is helping preserve the memory of fallen firefighters through a personal tribute unveiled Tuesday in Westport.

Staples High School senior Seamus Brannigan presented his Eagle Scout project honoring firefighters who died in the line of duty.

The project is a custom cabinet designed to house and honor the helmets of six Westport firefighters.

Brannigan said the cabinet is meant to ensure their legacy is never forgotten.

He said the project creates a meaningful space for reflection and remembrance.
