Investigators say a deadly stabbing inside a Bed-Stuy apartment began as an argument.

According to the criminal complaint, Jayvon Boyd originally denied stabbing Frank Brown. However, the complaint says Boyd later said in a statement that the two got into an argument and Brown hit Boyd with a broomstick, knocking Boyd over. Boyd then got up and stabbed Brown, according to the complaint.

It happened around 7:45 a.m. Friday on Bainbridge Street, where police sources say officers found a trail of blood leading to the building where Boyd lives.

Brown was found with multiple stab wounds and rushed to One Brooklyn Health-Interfaith Medical Center, where he died.

The medical examiner determined that Brown suffered two stab wounds to the chest, one of which punctured Brown's lung, causing his death.

A neighbor who wanted to remain anonymous tells News 12 he's not surprised to hear about it.

"I know that they were always fighting, always hearing arguments and threats," said the neighbor.

The complaint says Boyd also admitted to hiding the weapon.

Boyd is facing criminal possession of a weapon and murder charges. He is due back in court Wednesday.
