The pick of the week has arrived with today's forecast. Plenty of sunshine with milder bright temperatures in the middle 60s. Apply that sunscreen today with a high UV index forecast from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. especially.

Next rain chance arrives Wednesday and Thursday with a total of around an inch of rain possible. Thursday looks like the wettest day of the week with soaking rain possible. A lingering shower may last into Friday morning.

A May pattern flip is on the way starting this upcoming weekend and into the following third week of the month. Above average temperatures are likely with a taste of early summer for a few days at least.
