Rain will move through early Thursday before the sun rises. A few embedded thunderstorms are possible. Count on wet roads, with a few showers around for the morning commute. Rainfall totals will range from half an inch to over an inch by the time this wraps up early Friday.
The gusty winds will subside on Thursday. An area of low pressure develops and moves slowly east on Friday. This will keep clouds and the rain chance around until later in the day on Friday. Temperatures in the meantime will drop a bit with the clouds and rain, but then recover on Friday with the mid-60s.
Warmer temperatures are on the way starting this weekend. Above-average temperatures settle in with highs in the 70s and even low 80s are likely into early next week.
More showers and thunderstorms are possible around Wednesday of next week.
