Saturday: Smoky Soaker

The smoke heads back north and will become thicker early Saturday. The air quality will be "unhealthy." Thunderstorms are expected to be on-and-off from the afternoon into the evening. Some storms could contain damaging wind gusts and large hail. Expect frequent lightning and loud thunder. Flash or street flooding is possible. Temperatures will climb up into the 70s and lower 80s.

Storms are likely through Saturday evening before clearing takes place overnight. Watch for flooded roads, possible storm damage and power outages.

Sunday: Sunshine and less smoke

This is the pick of the weekend. Highs are in the low to mid-80s with low humidity and more sunshine. Less wildfire smoke is anticipated.

More rain and thunderstorms are possible for Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
