WHAT TO KNOW
Storm threat lowers into the overnight as the last several storms cross the area. These storms still bring a flooding potential and intense lightning which could cause some rumbles overnight. Rainfall totals across Douthwest Connecticut have been on around 1.5" or less.
Rain totals could increase just slightly in some spots due to the last few rounds of storms crossing late during the overnight.
Sunday's weather will consist of clearing skies and comfortable temperatures. Air quality will still be a concern as Canadian wildfire smoke is not entirely clear. Sunday's air quality forecast calls for moderate air quality levels. Otherwise, Sunday should be a dry, but hazy day. Afternoon high temperatures are forecast to be in the low 80s with a breeze at times.

Monday should be a nice day with temperatures in the low 80s.
The News 12 Storm Watch Team will continue to monitor the air quality forecast over the next several days as Canada's wildfire season is underway.
Another weather system will likely bring storms and rain again Tuesday.
