Police: New Britain man uploaded child sex abuse images to Snapchat account

A New Britain man is facing multiple charges for having child sexual abuse images on his Snapchat account, police say.
Joseph Cerruto was arrested July 14 and has been charged with possession of child sexual abuse materials, enticing a minor by use of computer, misrepresentation of age to entice a minor and risk of injury.
An investigation into Cerruto began after police received a tip in May.
Police say Cerruto created a Snapchat account on Dec. 21. On that same day, he uploaded three videos that contained images of children to the account.
Cerruto's arrest warrant claims that on that same day, he also interacted with a 15-year-old and traded photos with her of a sexual nature.
Cerruto is currently free on a $175,000 bond and is expected in court next week.
