A man was hospitalized after a stabbing outside Bass Pro Shops in Bridgeport early Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the store around 6:44 a.m. after receiving a report of a stabbing.

Officers found a man who had been stabbed in the chest.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with injuries that police described as non-life-threatening.

Police said the suspect was taken into custody.
