WHAT TO KNOW

The weather will stay warm and slightly humid heading into Monday morning. A few showers and thunderstorms work their way back into New Jersey, starting later in the day. Stay weather aware because the ones later in the day could be strong or severe, depending on the timing, with damaging winds and hail. Localized heavy rain will accompany the storms and could cause some street flooding.

The heat and humidity will build back through the first half of the week. The heat wave will continue with temperatures soaring above 90 through Tuesday. With the humidity, it will feel more like the mid- and upper 90s Monday afternoon. Conditions will improve very slightly for Tuesday, but a nice drop in the heat and humidity take place later in the week.

Stay with the News 12 Storm Watch Team for the latest updates on the heat and storms.
