A midweek warm up for Connecticut before a more seasonal finish into the weekend

Plenty of sunshine and light winds make for a pleasant day, with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s to low 80s.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Overnight will be partly cloudy and pleasant, with low temperatures dropping into the mid- to upper-60s. It will turn hotter on Wednesday, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid- to upper-80s, plus breezy southerly winds that add to the warmth.

Cloud cover increases on Thursday afternoon with a chance for scattered showers as highs stay in the mid- to upper-80s. Cooler, drier weather settles in for Friday and Saturday, delivering bright sunshine and comfortable temperatures in the mid-70s to around 80.

Sunday brings a mix of sun and clouds with a slight chance of showers and highs in the upper-70s to low-80s, before mostly sunny skies and warmer weather return on Monday.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Thursday: Partly sunny with a chance of afternoon showers. Highs in the low to mid-80s.

Friday: Sunny and cooler with highs in the low to mid-70s.

Saturday: Sunny and pleasant with highs in the low to mid-70s.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with a chance of rain. Highs in the mid to upper 70s.

Monday: Mostly sunny and seasonable with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
