Bridgeport police are looking to identify two people in connection to a slashing of an Amazon delivery driver during an attempted robbery.
The incident happened just before 12 p.m. Tuesday on Park Terrace.
The 28-year-old driver told police he was making a delivery in his private vehicle when he was boxed in by two people on motor scooters. Both were dressed in black clothing, had black face masks and wore helmets.
The victim said one of the scooters struck his car. When he confronted the pair, one of them slashed him in the face with a weapon. The suspects then traveled east on Railroad Avenue on the scooters.
Following the attack, the injured driver pulled up to Metropolitan Transit Authority police officer working at Railroad and Myrtle avenues and informed him of what happened. The victim was heavily bleeding.
The driver was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center with what police describe as a significant wound to his face, but is not life-threatening.
