Norwalk's 41st annual Oyster Festival is being held this weekend at the 35-acre Veterans Memorial Park.
The event is hosted by the Seaport Association, whose mission is to preserve Norwalk's maritime heritage and the Long Island Sound
"It raises a lot of money for a lot of local organizations,” says Urban Mulvehill, from the Seaport Association. “It also just gives people the chance to come down…and have a great day, enjoying being out on the waterfront.”
The festival continues Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Musical guests will be performing Saturday and Sunday night, including the former lead singer of Journey, Steve Perry.
