46th annual Norwalk Oyster Festival to begin Friday with great entertainment and oysters

All the entertainment is included with the price of a ticket, and all kids, 12 and under get in free on Sunday with a paying adult.

For almost 50 years, the Norwalk Oyster Festival has been providing great entertainment and of course oysters.
The tents are up and ready for its 46th year to begin Friday.
The Norwalk Seaport Association hosts the event each year.
All proceeds go to the upkeep and restoration of Sheffield Island and its lighthouse.
The oysters in the festival are provided by Copps Island Oysters, a name that has been tied to the oyster industry for over 70 years.
There are rides for the kids.
All the entertainment is included with the price of a ticket, and all kids, 12 and under get in free on Sunday with a paying adult.
Gates open at 6 p.m. Friday and at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Mike DelGuidice is back to perform on Saturday.
Funky Dawgs, and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes take the stage Friday night.
